MY SCRAPBOOK ROOM

Finally having my Scrapbook Room is a dream come true.  It only took me 30 years to get a room to myself.  The room is full of furniture made by my father, hand-me-downs and flee market finds.

CRAYON CANVAS ART

Had a great time with a good friend today trying our hand at Crayon Art.  It was fun, but now you can be the judge.

CROCHET CHALLENGE

Decided to conquer a new challenge.  A crocheted sweater with attached flowers.  Of course I didn't check the gauge so it may be too big/small...but hopefully just right.

A LITTLE MONKEYING AROUND

I found out last week that I'm going to be a grandmother again in November. I'm so pumped!!! I've spent the last couple of months browsing pinterest and have pinned multiple pics of newborn baby photos with hats.

Well, I've purchased a couple of patterns and have completed three hats so far.

Graphic 45 Design Team 2012 Audition

My moto is "Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained" so here it comes.

Project #1: (Mini Album)
THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME
This album was created using The Magic of Oz collection. Designed to house my photos and memories of all the places I've called home in the past 50 years, I've purposely kept clean and simple so I can carefully chose the right embellishments at my leisure.

Project #2: (Double Page Layout)
HIGHWAY 61 BLUES
This project came from an unexpected find while traveling for work. I found the Hwy 61 Blues Museum in Leland, Mississippi. Luckily I had remembered to take my camera on this trip and was able to document the experience. On this layout I completely covered to pages with pictures and embellishments. Using the paper from the Steampunk line seamed to be the perfect fit to this project.

Project #3: (Mini Album)
ALL THAT JAZZ MINI ALBUM
I fell in love with the Curtain Call paper the day I saw it and knew I had to make a mini album with b/w photos. The only color used was a touch of red on each page. I repurposed an old book to make the cover and then simply folded in half the pages from the collection. Most of my embellishments are cutout from the collection along with metal coin letters and alphabet words.

Project #4:
WHERE I CAME FROM (Double Page Layout)
A two page layout using the Le'Romantique papers. These photos are along my favorite photos of my parents. I love using large photos in my double page layouts. The soft muted colors on the papers just blended in so beautifully with the photos.

Project #5:
BLAST FROM THE PAST (Double Page Layout)
I love anything old and rusty. A local flea market became the subject of this layout and the Communique paper lent itself as the perfect background. I dug in a sewing box from my grandmother and my layout came alive with vintage flare.

Project #6: (Single Page Layout)
TIME TO REMEMBER
As I sat in the stands watching my youngest son finish his baseball career I remembered a photo I took ten years prior. After their final game that season I lined the boys back up in the same order and took this memorable photo to cherish. A Proper Gentleman paper collection was the paper of choice.

Project #7: (Double Page Layout)
MY BUNCH
My family is my life and why I scrapbook. The boys surprised me one mother's day and had family photos taken. The funny part of this experience is that I too was taking photos that day in the same location and they had to ride around for an hour waiting for me to leave. They surely thought I had seen them but I was too wrapped up in the photo session I was shooting. The Fashionista papers came in handy to complete this layout.

Project #8: (Single Page Layout)
MY MOM, DOMESTIC GODDESS
Domestic Goddess is probably the first papers from Graphic 45 that I fell in love with. Having the beautiful photographs of my mother and this paper bought instant ideas in mind for a project I'll cherish forever.

Project #9: (Double Page Layout)
THE GRADUATE
Finding papers for a man's layout is sometimes a bit challenging. I used a combination of Renaissance Faire, A Proper Gentleman, Botanicabella and Communique. That's what I truly love about your paper, you can mix and match from different paper lines and the colors blend.

Project #10: (Mini Album)
PUERTO RICAN PARADISE
I traveled to my mother-in-laws homeland of Puerto Rico and discovered a paradise. Upon returning a mini-album was born using the On The Boardwalk collection. Most of my embellishment were pop-ups from the paper in the collection.

ABC PRIMER MINI ALBUM

This is my first attempt at a video. The basic bones of this album is so versatile. I see so many of these albums in my future. I've used kraft paper as the base and them added the Graphic 45 ABC Primer paper.

Kathy at Paper Pnenomenon gets credit for the original design of the Add A Page album system. Kathy's a super paper artist. Her website has tutorials, kits and so much more.

ABC PRIMER MINI ALBUM

This mini album uses Graphic 45 ABC Primer paper. The design of the pages come from the Paper Pnenomenon website, Build A Page Album.

This has so many possibilities. There are 5 different page styles. You can use all five, mix and match and make your own paper, use one or two, etc.

I've used kraft paper as my base for two reasons. First it's so sturdy and second because it's such a great base for so many of the papers I tend to buy.

It's my first video, so be gentle.

BLUE DOG FANS

I asked my grandsons to hold my blue dog paintings so I could take a photo and this is what we came out with. No coaching, not planned, but what a great photo shoot.

MORE PAINT

In normal "Tammy" fashion when I get involved....I GET INVOLVED. I really love the painting the iconic Louisiana images.
